For many people in Lesotho, essential items like blankets, food and sanitary pads are nearly impossible to afford. In a country that’s already struggling with extremely high poverty levels, gender inequity and HIV/AIDS, COVID-19 has contributed to an onslaught on new challenges facing the Basotho including an increase to the unemployment rate.
