5 Ways to Wear Pearls

"Pearls are always appropriate" - Jackie Kennedy

We agree!

Pearls aren't just for high teas and country clubs anymore - the modern woman can wear pearls for brunch, at the office, on date night, and hanging out at home with a glass of wine (because hey - why not!). How to wear pearls is up to you, but we have a few ideas.

1. The layered look.

This look requires a long rope of pearls (like the white flapper necklace pictured here). Wrap the strand at least three times to get three different lengths. This look is casual enough to go with dark-wash jeans or leggings, and gives a trendy flapper touch to a plain top.

2. The classic single-strand.

A single strand of pearls is probably the most iconic piece of jewelry a woman can own. But why stick with the standard? Update the single-strand look by playing with colour and size. Extra-large pearls have a playful vibe, and grey lends a modern twist to the classic.

3. The stack.

Why wear one bracelet when you can wear MANY?! Pearl bracelets are perfect for stacking - mix up colour and size for serious wrist candy.

4. The pop of colour.

A statement necklace in an unexpected colour (like the olive collar piece pictured here) packs a fashion punch.

5. The black pearl.

Black pearls are the cool cousin of the pearl family (hello - Captain Jack!). Ultra-chic, and a little unexpected: black pearl studs are make an under-stated statement.
