The creator: Bohlokoa, 29

Bohlokoa discovered her path to jewelry making in an unexpected way. After earning a Diploma in Management from the Institute of Extra Mural Studies (IEMS) in 2018, she found herself intrigued by the jewelry-making process.
“I was excited to discover that I could create earrings,” she shares. “As I wore them, people frequently asked where I had bought them.”

In 2019, Bohlokoa joined Help Lesotho's Leaders in Training (LIT) program, which helped her confront deep grief over her parents’ passing and build resilience. “The lessons I learned were transformative,” she says.

Today, her jewelry business reflects her pride in Basotho culture and her commitment to eco-conscious fashion, turning waste into wearable art that celebrates her heritage. "I dedicated myself to creating unique pieces from some waste materials."
