Since 2006, Pearls4Girls has raised close to a million dollars for the girls in Lesotho.
Because of our fabulous supporters, hundreds of girls have participated in Help Lesotho’s leadership camps, gender equity conferences and weekly village programs. They’ve learned that they matter, and that that with their strength, determination, and intellect they can make a difference in their country.
Every single girl who participates in these programs becomes an agent of change, a force to be reckoned with. They share what they’ve learned with their families, peers, and communities, so the circle of impact widens.
Every bracelet, necklace, or pair of earrings sold helps girls in Lesotho take back their lives.
$25 buys a new pair of shoes for a child in need. Wearing torn and tattered shoes is a very visible sign of poverty – wearing new shoes brings dignity and self-esteem to a child;
$80 sends a girl to leadership camp. She will spend 6 days with 250 other youth participating in workshops, playing games, making crafts and eating nutritious food;
$1,800 provides materials, including healthy snacks, for 3 months of weekly training programs for young girls on topics such as self-esteem, healthy relationships, and HIV/AIDS;
$5,000 covers the cost of a 3-day gender conference for 30 girls.
